Hello, Welcome! (Introduce yourself)

Hi, I'm new here and thought I would say hello. I like the site.

I've been hanging out at a variety of electronics, car repair, and stereo forums, enjoying whatever I happen to learn. Done some recapping of old stereos and am currently looking at recapping a computer motherboard, which is a whole new ballgame compared to the older stereos!

My education is primarily in engineering, but I have taken a course or two in electronics.

greetings bobbyrae

welcome to EP :)

sounds like you are heading in the right direction with doing some courses ... will give you a good grounding in the theory, the rest comes from years of practical experience :)

cheers

Hi everybody!

My name is Stjepan, I come from Croatia, and I'm a total electronics newbie...

Worst thing about it is that I have finished my high school as an technician for electricity (4 years of everything related to electricity) ten years ago (but haven't used it at all after that) and here I am knowing near to nothing...

So... Please be kind if you can :D

*To summarize: s*it storm of dumb as* questions is brewing  *

Welcome Alexander. We all began in electronics too, even though some of us have forgotten :)

Welcome to Electronics Point. We welcome your questions.

Hi Guys,

This is Tony and I am a new user as well. I work for an engineering specialist job board and hope to help you if you have any questions in regards to career ,cv's and jobs. I want to tell you that finding the right job is the key and sometimes it takes time to find the right career. Because each of us need a little bit push but as Steve Jobs said if we find a job / project that we care about you don't have to be pushed -the vision will pull you! Also being hard working always opens the doors! All the best! Thanks

Hi Tony,

What is your interest in electronics?

I ask you this, because i you intend to be a member of this site and regularly contribute, or even read threads, then we can take that post as an introduction with your one gratuitous link.

edit: everything you talk about is off-topic for Electronics Point, but we do have an off-topic area. I really want to know what you find interesting about Electronics Point and why you joined?

Hi Steve,

As I mentioned above I work for an engineering specialist job board and wanted to engage with people who needs career advice or question in regards to looking for a job in engineering, I personally have a marketing degree and specialist in digital and offline marketing and have an experience within the recruitment, I just wanted to share knowledge with anyone who's looking for a job within engineering.

ps: I couldn't find career related topic so I thought this is the best area to start with.

Yeah, we do have people asking about such things from time to time. It is perfectly acceptable to post material about this in answer to a question, but we might treat as spam any post that does so for simply promotional purposes.

This board has a lot of students and perhaps you could provide another perspective on career questions they occasionally post.
