"Fred Bloggs" = a ****

That is total nonsense;

** So says an autistic CONGENITAL FUCKWIT !!

there is no safety issue with these transformers.

** Well - none the GREAT ALMIGHTY FUCKING Fred Bloggs **** knows or
gives a shit about anyway.

The * issue* relates to some of the electrical items that ordinary folk
may own or acquire from the USA and connect that are unsafe when 240 volts
worth of AC power gets involved.

And there is no requirement for isolation.

** The common law of negligence says there is - you stinking FUCKWIT.

Go read my other carefully worded posts on the matter and learn something -
ASSHOLE !!

Figure out why such stepdowns are classed as " PROHIBITED ITEMS " under
AS3000 - the legal enforced standard for all electrical installations in
Australia.

Or else - go fucking DROP DEAD.

The common law of negligence establishes responsibility and not
requirements. You are way too dim to understand the difference.

You may consider your posts to be carefully worded, but they are really
very crude expressions of ambiguity, ignorance, and non-information.

AS3000 - the legal enforced standard for all electrical installations in
Australia.

There is no AS 3000, it is now AS/NZS 3000, and this standard governs
the practice of permanent electrical installation in buildings. It does
not have purview over end use equipment, these are governed by safety
approval authority.

"Fred Bloggs" = autistic, know nothing, fucking ****

** As the brainless, worthless, autistic pile of shit keeps proving here
over and again .

The common law of negligence establishes responsibility and not
requirements.

** Jesus Fucking Christ Almighty !!!!

This Bloggs ASSHOLE *IS* ONE COLOSSAL FUCKWIT !!!!!

* The law of negligence MEANS one MUST act responsibly towards others
!!!! *
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shame such an everyday, simple concept is WAAAYY over Fred Fuckwit Bloggs
pointed autistic head.

You are way too dim to understand the difference.

** What a fucking, arrogant PIG Bloggs keeps on proving he is.

Nothing but a useless pile of shit who ought to be shot dead in public.

There is no AS 3000, it is now AS/NZS 3000, and this standard governs the
practice of permanent electrical installation in buildings.

** Which is what I just posted - you FUCKING IMBECILE !!!!!

NOW:

*YOU* go figure how come such step-downs are classed as " PROHIBITED
ITEMS " under AS3000 - the legally enforced standard for all
electrical *installations* in Australia.

When and IF you ever do that - not one second sooner - you may just
begin to have the tiniest inkling of the nature of the issue.

Best not hold breath for one second waiting for a KING SIZE FUCKING
IDIOT called " Bloggs " to catch on.

His putrid corpse will be rotting in the grave first.

Oh! That's terrible abuse! They do the same horrible thing to
slaughterhouses in the US that don't pass every inspection.

But not to every slaughterhouse they inspect, every time they inspect
it.

It sounds as if the Australian meat industry has now found the right
official to influence, who could in turn influence the inspectors so
that they now don't inspect with quite the same high level of creative
rigour that they used to.
On second thought, I think that they have read the sci.electronics
newsgroups, and they think that you and Phil have mad cow disease, so
they don't want to take any chances on importing infected beef.

Oddly enough, Australia is one of the few countries in the world that
seems to be free from bovine spongiform encephalitis (BSE), so you
can't use that to explain Phil's symptoms (and it doesn't make you
mindlessly aggressive - read up on variant Creutzfeldt-Jakobs Disease
(v-CJD) for the actual symptoms, which include anxiety, depression and
withdrawal).

Since I lived in England while the disease rose to prominence, I am at
risk , though I'm a lot older than the typical victim, and - despite
your inexpert diagnosis - no more anxious, depressed and withdrawn than
I've been for the past forty years ...

So Phil seems to think. My wife is a serious academic psychologist, and
won't even allow me to claim borderline Asperger's syndrome as an
excuse for evading her academic social events.
Fucks one's brain and life up totally.

Full-blown autism is disabling. Lower levels of autistic-like symtoms
are reputed to screw up your social life - almost as much as persistent
rabid aggression - but can be associated with peculiar competence in
solo activities. If you are looking for a candidate to become your one
complete expert in a narrow area, someone with Asperger's syndrome can
be an appropriate choice.

Have a look at Elizabeth Moon's "The Speed of Dark".
Means being a sub human.

Or superhuman within a narrow area - Phil's grasp of psychology is no
better than his understanding of electronics.

<snipped the usual contentless rant>

When Phil can't find even a fig-leaf approximation to a rational
argument, he just rants.

Wouldn't it be nice if he could say "Oops, I got that one wrong".

Those few in the user-group who still bother reading his posts would
probably die of shock - I wonder if that would give him a motivation?

** Massive - not borderline at all.

Means being a sub human.

Or superhuman within a narrow area

** No - * sub human * .

Missing an essential human meatal ability.

Missing the thing that produces that quality of mind called "insight".

Not to mention missing all empathy and sympathy.

** No case to answer.

Bill the Autistic is just TROLLING his fat arse off to cover up his PIG
IGNORANCE.

As he has openly stated that he is doing.

As he always does.

As he is a public menace.

Geeze, Bill! That statement was made in jest, but its like some of
the unfounded charges you make against the US.

Before he was being "influenced" by your cattle barons, now he is being
"influenced" by Australia's. One thing is for sure, if his replacement
isn't susceptible to "influence" the replacement won't last long in the
job.
Geeze, Bill! That statement was made in jest, but its like some of

I never make unfounded charges against the U.S. - there are enough
well-founded charges floating around that I don't have to bother. There
is a branch of opinion in the U.S. that feels that the sort of
well-founded charges Chomsky makes should be ignored because the man is
insufficiently patriotic, but their evidence for his lack of patriotism
is that he makes well-founded charges agains the U.S.A. This is
generally known as the Catch 22 defence.
Oh well. I guess that some things just can't get worse! ;-)

I'll have to consult my wife about that - it's not the sort of subject
where you can give an objective opinion.

About 100-150 cases a year of vCJD, and (perhaps) declining, though in
the nature of the disease it's difficult to say on a couple of years
stats. I make that about .002% chance of dying from it. I'm far more
worried about prostate cancer, with about 20000 cases a year, and, in
the UK, a poor record of early diagnosis and treatment.
