OT: Nitrogen filled tires

C

ChairmanOfTheBored

Pressure regulators with a wide variety of temperature curves
are a mature technology. When I worked as a design engineer
for SMC Pneumatics, regulating pressure so that it stays constant
as temperature varies was one of the most common configurations.

You do not want constant. A hotter tire's rubber is more pliable, and
to keep the tire tread center from bulging and wearing more, the tire
needs a slightly lower fill pressure while hot.

Wow. Words written in all caps. I was had my doubts about whether
you were right, but as soon as I saw those words in all caps, I
Knew that you must be right.

Unless someone comes along and uses all caps and multiple exclamation
points, of course. That's even more convincing.

TEXT has a limited set of means to express certain tomes.

Your retarded tire compressor tomes could be written in any language
and on any forum, and they would STILL be retarded.

LOL! Are you calling me a "liberal"? The only one who can get away
that is my wife (she's the only one on the planet to the right of
me;). You gotta admit, the Orlando area is Mickey-Mouse.

There was the implication that Orlando is "uncivilized",and that is not
true. Sure,Orlando is tourist-land,part Cuba/PuertoRico/Mexico and home of
the Mouse.Disney HAS had an enormous influence on the area.
But Orlando is not JUST that.

and that "civilized" comment IS a standard liberal tactic.
Sure. Now *that* is classical "neo-lib".

Of course not. I have no need for one. My tires stay inflated.

I meant for you to check it out so you'd know what you're talking about.
Not that you need one, since you SAID you have a 120VAC compressor in your
garage.
Don't need one away from home either. A can of fix-a-flat works
well.

I've always wondered about keeping aerosol cans of compressed gasses in my
car, especially during the hot months.I'd hate to have one leak or burst and
dump it's contents inside my car.IIRC,they even say on the can not to keep
them in hot cars,over 120 DegF,IIRC.
If they're living in an apartment, tell them to get used to it.

You must be unfamiliar with apartment living or apt.LEASES regarding
excessive noise. It even includes musical instruments.
The
clods jumping on my ceiling don't much care about noise, either.
Besides, those little compressors are pretty damned loud!

I could run my little 12 V compressor in my apartment without disturbing
the neighbors;it's that quiet.

expected life of the car.

My truck is 20 years old. Where do I find batteries with a 60 year
life?

Macon?? That's almost as good as having "...bored..." do it ;-)

No, MissingProng can't do math at all. He's entirely number-phobic.

You're an idiot. I can do the math without even making a single actual
calculation.

That's very Zen: doing the math without doing the math.

It is 100% obvious that it is a futile endeavor, and then
there are several other factors that make it a prohibitive venture.

The term for today is:

UNSPRUNG WEIGHT

You know... that thing that one does NOT want to add to their
suspension assembly, particularly at the wheel... ;-]

Gosh, why do people have wheel covers?

John

Generally found on NON-performance autos.

Is wheel bling found on performance autos?
(ones people don't care about handling or unsprung weight)

How many care? ISTM that properly inflated tires is more important
for "performance" than bling.
Also, often found on the side of the road after passing a pothole. ;-)

As opposed to Dimbulb in this argument (found in the middle of the
road with John's tire marks up his backside).

Nice CELL CPU post in abse for you KeithStainTard. You know... that
CPU that you said did not do parallel processing.

I don't do abse, sorry Dimmie. You *still* have no idea what you're
talking about.
You're an idiot.

No, Dumbulb, you are the idiot here.

Well, there's me, but he filtered me quite some time ago - rather
than respond to something he doesn't like, he just pretends it isn't
there, like a good little neocon. It's the same syndrome that makes
the warmingists deny the effects of Solar output, water vapor, Earth's
orbital perturbations, axial precession, clouds, etc. on planetary
temperatures.

Wow! That's a terminal case of PKB, you got there Rich!

No, that would be you.
No, Dumbulb, you are the idiot here.

One day, when you get the name right, you *might* have a shot at making
such claims, but since the truth would also have to be involved, that is
not likely.

You always make tickling your twat easy, dimmie!

Your point (besides the one between your shoulders), Dimbulb?
No, that would be you.

Nope. I've known the details of the CELL processor long before you
knew it existed, AlwaysWrong.

The weenies have you over-sensitized. Chill and have some fun.
That's why we're here (well not the leftist weenies, fun is an
impossibility for them).

I meant for you to check it out so you'd know what you're talking about.
Not that you need one, since you SAID you have a 120VAC compressor in your

My time is too valuable right now to go chasing things I have no
interest in. Something that only fills tires (slowly) is of little
interest.
I've always wondered about keeping aerosol cans of compressed gasses in my

It's not compressed gas, any more than a can of shaving cream is a
can of "compressed gas".
You must be unfamiliar with apartment living or apt.LEASES regarding
excessive noise. It even includes musical instruments.

I'm quite familiar with it, now. I have a herd of elephants living
above me these days. I decided not to rent another flat (a *nice*
place) because of it, rather a condo. I would welcome a compressor,
over the moving building. THe point is that one puts up with crap if
one is forced to live stacked with others.

Nope. I've known the details of the CELL processor long before you

Quite doubtful. I read about it in EE Times, among other technical
publications, and since technical publications are very likely far beyond
your capacity, I doubt you knew about it before I did, much less the
details of it.

Bwuahahaha! The asswipe KeithStainTard spends his time in here a lot,
yet "his time is too valuable...".

Wake up KeithStain! You and your time is a waste!

*definitely* wrong, as always, DimBulb.

Well, the ones who pay me (enough to work away from home for three
months, now extended to nine) don't see things like you do, Dimbulb.
Of course, there is no surprise here. They aren't AlwaysWrong.
