Hello, Welcome! (Introduce yourself)

Greetings fellow "Electronites" . . . . .

Edd here . . . from the US of A

I just happened to chance across this site, while cruising the web for engineering info.
Of course, the latest post was being at the very top of the list of help needed in the REPAIR section.
Sooooooo . . . .I just signed up so that I might be able help that person with what might seem like an insurmountable problem to him.

Follow the journey at:
https://www.electronicspoint.com/threads/relay-clicking-in-out-on-technics-su-v2-xe-amplifer.275157/

While I'm here I also will check out the sites "upload protocol " , since it will be needed.

Image test placed below . . . . .

Bye 'yawl

Hi my name is Steve I'm a welder by trade but tinker about with anything mechanical and/or electrical, I love engineering and have a small workshop in my shed. I build steam engines do up motorcycles, spray paint, solder, grind, weld, machine, fabricate, invent, fix and break stuff. I like to keep busy and away from ultra boring television, never content until I'm back in my shed, which I hope one day will be off the grid!

I seem to have lost the thread we used to have for people to introduce themselves.

I'm making this one a sticky so that new members can find it easily and post a message here.

Note that there are some things that you can't do until you've got a few posts under your belt. So if you've come here with a burning desire to ask a question with an image/link, but can't until you post a message, here is the place to do it!

Welcome!

I'm Steve, currently the newest moderator here. I have a long-term interest in electronics (almost 40 years), but I am not formally employed in this field.

Since this is the introductions area, please feel free to start your own thread (it's good practice). If, for some reason you'd prefer not to, feel free to use this thread.

Herschel here. Serious about electronics but not an engineer. I have taught electronics in a slot machine adult school (casino gaming) and wrote a lot of articles for Slot Tech Magazine. As far as I know I am the only author of a text book on slot machines. I started studying electronics in school in the 9th grade and am now ancient and retired.
