Whirlpool L1373 - damage possibly done by a centipede

When you say "takes some water" is it the normal amount? If not, is it an amount of water that might be equal to one of the lower level settings on the machine?

I can't tell if the water is enough as I'm testing without clothes in the drum. It should take more water than usual, right? I hear the pressostat clicking and in about 10 sec the error is displayed. As I said, the pressostat has 1 level only. I don't know if it is relevant, but after reprogramming the board the machine takes more water than before. Which initially made me believe that the problem was solved...
