"Tried" fixing ipod screen

Hi I had a seriously damaged screen on my ipod touch 4g so i tryed to replace it with one i bought off of amazon. now that ive replaced the screen the touch screen feature, wify, and everything else still works fine on it however half the image on the screen is bright pink green and red vertical lines and the other half is really bright with almost no color. can anyone tell me what went wrong and if i can fix the problem?

You probably didn't plug the lcd in correctly, take it back apart and verify the lcd is plugged in correctly and fully... Basically make sure all the ribbon cables are plugged in correctly, fully seated in the sockdet and undamaged...

i just tryed that and made sure the screen was propperly connected everything looked fine but im still having the same issue

Could be a faulty or damaged screen
