Stage Line 500W amp repair project

Looking good. You would be better off with strip board rather than the ones you have.

If you get really stuck with building the board, let me know and I will knock one up and mail it to you.

Thank you for that, its not the actual building it, think i have difficulty understanding the schematic

I would pay you to have a read up on how Operational Amplifiers work as it would also give you some understanding of how you power amp's work as well. They are not to dissimilar.

Did a little test today, i connected an audio input to the phono jack at the rear of the amp, then connected a speaker to the 0v and In--R, at connection 9, i did this for both chanels and i do get clear audio and the volume/gain on the front panel seems to work correctly, so i think the pre amp is working ok

Not going to go any further without guidance haha, i have got to this point 3 times now and always and up blowing transistors or something by being impatient, and it takes me a few days to test and replace parts to get back to here

Yes i do, the more help the better, however i am waiting on @WHONOES to get this ossiloscope up and running, there is nothing more i can do apart from take readings, different people work in different ways, i am just trying to gather as much knowledge as i can, hope this isnt an issue

On post #586 can't find the connections you are referring to. When making these references can you please include the sheet number and grid reference of the points you are referring to!

Well, hopefully i will receive some goddies from @WHONOES soon and i will be able to use my virtual scope and sig gen to see whats happening here, massive thanks to him and everyone else for all your support, i have no idea why the penny hasnt dropped yet, but hopefully it will soon, i hate looking stupid!, If i were to blow my own trumpet i would say find a better motorcycle mechanic in the north of england, you would find my garage always croped up, (cleveland county scooters )

Hi, i have fitted the IC,s with the top to the cut out in the sockets, as in pin 1 top left, as for fitting everything into the box, i will first work out best positions and then look at insulating the board from the case , also @WHONOES , is there any issues if i remove the LED,s from the board and mount them remotely so i can have them visible through holes in the aluminium box ?
