Hi,
I have a perfect draft beer machine which recently failed due to a broken pelter. I’ve replaced the pelter with a tec1-12706 bought off eBay which seems to do the job, but I’m not sure it’s cooling quite as effectively as the previous pelter. The previous pelter wasn’t that effective either, especially when the ambient temperature got higher (just the time you really want a cold beer!) so I’m curious about trying some different pelters that might improve the cooling.
BTW, the heat sink and fan on the device are both big and pretty effective, and I’m giving it as much fresh air as I can.
The service manual for the machine suggests that at 100% cooling the circuitry provides 10.5V dc and 4.7A rms. The pelter size is 40mm square. Would anyone be kind enough to offer any suggestions on alternative pelters that might work more effectively? I was wondering about a double stage pelter for example?
Thanks in advance
Martin
