Hi Win,

thanks for that. Just one question - what do I do with the pile of ASCII
stuff I see in SED?

Set your font to courier.

Cheers!

You have to combine and decode the files to restore the PDF file.

Thanks - I figured as much. How?

(and why not just post the darned PDF - it seems to work for Jim)

This works in O.E.

Sort the message list by subject, highlight all the parts with the
control key and your left mouse button. Right click on the messages,
select "Combine and decode". Look at the list and make sure its in
numerical order with 1/X at the top of the list.

If they aren't in order highlight a message and move it up or down
and repeat with each message till they are all in order, then click ok.
Then save the complete file when its done.

The larger the file sent, the less likely it is to propagate around
the world. If it hits a newsfeed that it exceeds the set limit, it
stops moving.

I did simply post the pdf, but if its length is too great for a
single post, it's automatically broken up by the posting agent.

Whew!! Any decent newsreader should automatically reconstruct
the whole from the pieces and present it, when one clicks a piece
of the attachment in a single post.

Yes, this must be why it's automatically broken up when posted.

Thanks Guys, for the solution and the reasoning behind it.
