I have a remote control fan/light and the fan is not working. Once the light
bulb burned out and since the light and fan do not work anymore with the
remote. I can open and turn off the light with the wall switch. The wall
switch is a standard one and can only operate the light. I can see the red
light on the remote when I press the buttons and the small switches on the
remote are in the same position so their position was not changed.
Before I disassemble the fan is there another piece than the receiver that
could be faulty?
Is there a way to test the receiver?
Also I may replace the receiver and remote by an universal kit if the
original piece is too expensive because it is an old model that still look
very good. Is there any good reliable cheap kit you know about. BTW I am
still searching the net.
Thank you
