Ceiling Fan Capacitor Question

Greetings,

Having trouble finding the exact 4 wire ceiling fan capacitor that I need 4.8+6+6
I can get a 4 wire 4.5+6+6
Can I use this one without causing a problem with the fan?

Thanks for the idea Minder. However, I'm not sure that is an option. There is limited space in these fan housings and these are relatively large "black boxes". Here is what I am looking for. Was wondering if I could use one with a 4.5uF in place of the 4.8uF shown.

What is 5% less then 4.8μF ?

Hi Duke. 5% less than 4.8μF is 4.56μF. I'm guessing what you are saying is the tolerance of +-5% brings it close to the 4.5μF I was asking about. So if I use the 4.5μF, then we could ask what is 5% less than 4.5μF...but we won't. Your point is well taken. I don't think I'll worry about the 0.3μF difference. Thanks for your response.

Are you sure it’s 4 wires?.
I can find the the CBB61 with 5 wires no problem.
Looking at the wiring, both REDs are in parallel anyway. So really a 4 wire.

The Amazon one is the same but has 2 grey wires in parallel.

Actually, I think the Amazon one is 110v.

I'm in Texas and we use 110/120v here. It is a 4 wire. The picture is a little confusing with the wires in the background. I actually just found one here https://ceilingfancapacitor.net/ceiling_fan_capacitors__4_wire.html but he wants $25 + $7 shipping and I would rather pay $4.14 for this one https://www.ebay.com/itm/US-Stock-C...rand=Unbranded&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851 if it will work. I think it will.
