Capacitor scrap metal

What do you do with the leads of the capacitor after you cut them off?

I save all of them for jumpers and test points on equipment, some I leave in for future troubleshooting. The are also fairly good for repairing traces on damaged boards.

I do pretty much the same, I toss them sometimes due to the sheer volume that I already have saved, but they come in very handy especially the larger caps and resistors that have thicker leads so you get some nice stiff bits

My employer says they're contaminated with hazardous waste, with solder still on
them, so they pay to have them removed as hazardous waste.
Gives other people jobs, I guess.
