Capacitor ID

While messing with my home alram system a wire that goes to the ac adapter touch the 120 line and poof one of the capacitors on the boad was fried. I was able to read one number off of it and there are others like it on the board so I know what it is supposed to be. I have looked around on the internet for several hours now and none of the identification methods seem to make sence for the markings on my capacitor. The markings are a little confusing but it looks like
line 1: A05 (the A is more of a triangle, maybe a company logo?)
line 2: k25 then a symbol that looks like a backwards R connected to a U
the ther is a line accross the capacitor
Line 3: 0023
The capacitor is blue with white writing.
Any help would be great

That sounds more like a VDR / transient absorber.
It's there to protect the board against lightning & accidents like that.
A05 might mean 50V.
k25 might mean the size is 25 millimetres diameter.
It would be shaped like a disc / button.

looks like I had it all wrong, and my efforts of trying to find the part were for nothing. oh well. Does anyone have a source, or any ideas on a source for one of these. Thanks for the help.

Looks like I had it the wrong way around; seems it should be 5mm in dia. and 25V.
Correct terms also seems to be Metal Oxide Varistor or SIOV and 05k25.
Using only Varistor and 05k25 might give the most results.
Good luck hunting, wherever you are.
