AC 0-20A Analog Panel Meter for use with house hold 120V / AC

Hi, for my craft projects of making 120V, AC lamps, for decoration purposes I would like to add round amp and or voltage meters in the lamp base that work when you adjust the dimmer switch on the lamp. Can I use standard round analog style AC 0-20Amp gauges directly in the circuit after the dimmer and before the lamp or would I need some type of voltage regulator? I would like to find old style round panel meters if anyone could provide some links. Thanks!

You would have to find gauges rated for mains voltage and find a way of mounting and connecting to them without compromising insulation from mains voltage and hence safety.

And you will need a bridge.

A rectifier bridge is necessary only if the meter is not a moving-iron type.
