video distribution buffer/amplifier

Maxwell

Hi,
I am looking for a simple circuit to feed baseband video to two TV sets from
a vcr's baseband video output. Something like a video distribution
buffer/amplifier with two outputs.. Can anyone help with a circuit or
recommend a common chip which will do the job... Max

Have you tried just connecting the two TVs to the one output? Chances are it
would work "well enough" for your purposes. If you REALLY need to buffer it
then a pair of op amps would do, just look for one with a unity gain freq of
above 6MHz, since you don't need to amplify you don't need much more
bandwidth (although a little higher would be advised to ensure as little
phase shift as possible, a phase shift will mess with the colours). TTYL

Maxim do several chips. Free samples can be requested and delivered in about a week.
The MAX4217 is single rail, +5V, dual amplifier, gain +2, -3dB BW = 230MHz.
Mind you, the package is pretty small, I hope you've got good eyesight.

Radio shack makes them. Either does baseband, or baseband and S video
connectors.

Cheap at the price, and will drive 3 televisions.

If you are not in the us, try Tandy....
