Kind of. More like a qualitative judgement. I'm taking John's word
on the nature of the EMI, which makes all the difference. And I trust
John. You're certainly right that there are EMI sources where the
imbalance would matter, just not here.
Epcos's Magnetic Designer application is very handy for inductor and transformer
calculations btw. You will need to know the core material of course.
Thanks for that. I'm still goofing around with the darn thing,
scheming how to probe its lilliputian innards. The external waveforms
all look great, but _somebody's_ being naughty.
