I have a Tek 7L13 spectrum analyzer. It was working until recently, when a problem arose. After the unit warms up, any signal on the display will become highly unstable, and "wander" all over the place. I think the main LO in the unit is coming unlocked. I do not have the extender cables that will allow access to the inside of the unit while it is powered, for diagnosing the problem. Does anyone out there know what this problem could be? I am somewhat familiar with YIG oscillators. Could this be a sense resistor opening up?
