Req TV advice - Black Line or Quintrix?

B

BarmyOne

Hi,

I recently posted to alt.consumers.uk-discount.and.bargains asking "Any
bargain 28" or 32" tv's about"
<[email protected]> . I have just come back to
read the results (thanks to everyone who contributed) and noted some
discussion between groups (discount.and.bargains\electronics.repair) on
the merits of certain "chasis" when compared against each other. With
this in mind, I now just comparing two tv sets and would appreciate any
advice on them or any alternatives anyone has. As I am more concerned
with picture quality and reliability than anything else but within the
budget of £300.

FWIW, I have chosen two "budget" tv's, having previously owned two "high
value" tv's (1 £100.00 Toshiba and 1 B&O Avant purchased when 5k for a
TV was considered expensive). In my experience neither of these sets
lasted more than a couple of years of "trouble free" viewing so I am not
buying into the "more you pay the more reliable they are" myth anymore.
With this in mind, I am not considering moving to plasma or TFT at this
time. So without further ado:

Can anyone give me any advice on which will produce the best image? Also
how do "Black Line S" and "Quintrix Flat" compare against each other?
Which is the best?

Thank you.
