Hi Dave,..... and it's a wonder that it still works. Certainly it has a nnshort life left....
.
Can you suggest a more simple remote control circuit which can move this TV from stand by mode to on mode, in other words a one button remote. For other functions like volume and channels I will do the wonder later.
....
It mite not even be IR remote ??? ....
If you can find the schematic ......., an actual matching 'sending' chip.
List the devices (IC's) on the circuit board beside the IR module (IC10, IC11???).
You can get datasheets for 99.9% of all IC's from the likes of http://www.alldatasheet.com/ that will show all the required information.
No, bu the datasheet for the receiving chip will identify the sending chip as they form a 'pair' - indeed the datasheet for the receiver may well show a schematic for a working circuit for the sender side. Other datasheets on the same type of device have done so (as I found some years ago when I was 'into' that kind of thing).
Matsushita ....
If you got hold of the full TV schematic it would be easier to hardwire a newer model remote control receiver into the control lines!
Can you post a picture of the TV set - and a close-up (readable) image of the rear cover?
I can't find any results using Google which I find to be strange!
I've got some 'feelers' out to see if I can find something more useful...... will post back here if I find anything.
Info ... that the set uses a Panasonic G11 chassis.
Can you post a picture of the board attached to the IR receiver block i.e. the board with IC10 and IC11 on it?
Hi Kelly,Information so far is that the set uses a Panasonic G11 chassis. I'm still trying to get more details.
Can you post a picture of the board attached to the IR receiver block i.e. the board with IC10 and IC11 on it?
