Pulsate 1.5v D cell battery?

I want to turn on and off automaticlly a single regular 1.5V D cell battery wired to a motor. Is there some sort of 2 prong inline relay, timer, flasher out there that will do this? Kind of like what a 12v car flasher does. I would want it to stay on for a second or two then turn off for that long and repeat.
