Power Supply with an output of 12V using Silicon Controlled Rectifier?

Power_supply_12_V_using_SCR.jpg

Hello. I'm trying to resolve this circuit simulation by means of Multisim. Is there any problem with the connections? Somehow the fuse always breaks. I'm trying to get an output of 12V using scr + 4n25 optocoupler. Also, I'm trying to construct an actual circuit using this simulation. Any help would be much appreciated.

The 0.24ohm resistor is the assumed load.

I presume the output of the trigger is correct. I just copied the circuit diagram with little knowledge of it thinking it would produce a 12V output from AC to DC. Can you help me resolve the directions of the wrongly positioned SCRs?

And it should break !
You have V221=220Vrms connected through the "fired SCRs" to the load of R14=0.24ohm and the fuse is 1A.
Try to calculate the current you get through the fuse...

Besides,
What is it you wish to do ,and why do you need the SCRs for?

I remember many moons ago there was a circuit for what was essential a switching regulator using an SCR.

Of course, since it pretty much operated by letting through entire half cycles at twice the mains frequency, it had pretty hopeless characteristics.

I'll take a closer look at the circuit when I have a larger screen to see if that is the idea. For practical purposes it's not a design you would contemplate with a low impedance power source and load.
