just wondering if anyone can look this over for me and see if iv connected everything up correctly ? im not 100% sure i have the 10k pot configured up correctly and seem to be struggling to find out if i have or not. i think iv have connected the LM317 wright ..this circuit simply adjusts the speed of a fan by temperature .

That device marked as NTC 470 and drawn as a capacitor is actually a negative thermal coefficient resistor (nominally 470 ohms at 25C -- or similar)

Once you replace the cap symbol with a resistor,, the circuit starts to make more sense.

Having nice horizontal and vertical lines without extraneous twists and bends would make your schematic look like a real one :)

perfect. thankyou ill do the changes. im still learning and pretty new. doyou know if i have wired up the 10k pot up correctly ? as some people are saying online to connect the leg 2.. to the wiper. ad other people say to leave it as it dont matter.

do you think 100uf 16v cap on the input and one on the output will be ok ?

really appreciate your help :)
