Ok guys, heres another amp conversion question...

I was wondering out of curiosity if I can use an old reel to reel tube powered tape deck with a 1/4 input jack already in it to use as a guitar amplifier or is there an impedance difference that might cause electrocution?

Electrocution?
only if you have either of the devices already zapping you...

No electrocution hazard, but there might be an impedance mis-match at the input of the amp, leading to high noise and low volume.
Maybe there's be a further noise problem from the old electrolytics in the power supply.

I'd put more effort into spelling and grammar, but this is a Windows phone.
