Newbie in great need of help ! ! !

First chance i will get i will lay out a schematic of the circuit you need. just get the components with the values i will use. As far as resistors , capacitors and the LM555 any brand will do.

I was thinking that you will probably not be able to feed the pulse directly to the button pins. You will have to drive a relay from the output of the LM555 and connect the relay where the button was.

To clarify what I am trying to make...

Imagine the key fob remote used for unlocking your car doors as you walk towards the car. It doesn't work if you press the remote when you are out of range. You have to be within range of the car and then press the remote for the doors to unlock. Now imagine a key fob remote that you can press while out of range of the car and it then transmits continuously or repeatedly until you enter range, whereupon the doors unlock.

Do you think you can show me how to do that (either with the doorbell hardware or with a car's key fob remote) ?
