Mini AM Radio Question

J

Jon Yaeger

If one wanted to build a very small AM radio, would it be a good idea to use
a schottky diode in conjunction with a PLL? The goal would be to eliminate
the need for a (large) LC tuning circuit.

Suggestions welcomed and appreciated.

Yes, what you want is an electronically tuned system with a low noise RF
preamp.
