Looking for wall adaptor power supply

I need a wall adaptor so that I do not have to use batteries all the time. Does anyone have any suggestions for a supply, I work with CMOS 4000 series usually so I would like the supply to have a setting of 5 Volts and I need another output giving 9 Volts. The adaptor must be under £70. It needs to be able to work off 50Hz, 230 Volts. And would I make it myself no, I would not trust myself with something like this because it could fry my brains!

It needs to be able to either output 9 Volts out of one output and 5 Volts out the other at the same time or I need 2 separate power supplies.

My best advice would be for you to google it. It's going to be hard to find a power supply that puts out 5V and 9V, you will mostly find stuff that puts out something like 0-30V or 0-12V etc. Or you could just get two wall warts, one 5V and one 9V.

Do you want a bench power supply or just a wall adapter? You can get "wall wart"-type switching power supplies with output current around 1A here for less than the equivalent of £20; just get a 9V one and a 5V one, or regulate the 9V down to 5V.

Cheap switching supplies can be unreliable; if you can afford a bench supply like the one Adam linked to, it would be a worthwhile investment.

I do not need separate grounds for what I am doing. Thanks Kris, I will get a 9V power supply and use a voltage regulator.
