LED SMD 10watt and Solar battery

Hello there.

I want to run one LED SMD using solar battery with below specifications. Does it seem right ? And of course I have to reduce the voltage in order not to fry the LED. What Do you suggest ?

LED SMD Specifications :

Wattage : 10
Voltage : 9-12
Current : 900 mA

Solar Battery Specifications :

Maximum Output Wattage : 10
Output Voltage : 18 volt
Output Current : 560 mA

* I also have a solar battery with 5 wattage output and 280mA output current and 17.56 volt output. Is it able to run the LED SMD ?

The LED needs a pretty big heatsink.
A solar panel does not have a fixed voltage, The load reduces its voltage. My "12V" solar panel produces 18V with no load in bright sunshine and produces 12V at its rated current.

Is your solar panel 18V when loaded or not?
Does it produce 560mA at its rated voltage or only when shorted?

The 5W solar panel will light the LED but it will not produce full brightness.

Why light an LED when the sun is shining? Dungeon with no window?

Manufacturer of Solar battery states 0.61 amps output when shorted. And it also states 22.5 volts output when not loaded and 18 volts when loaded.

I suppose there should be a battery inside to save the energy and it runs when the is no sunlight.

When the solar panel is loaded so that its voltage drops to 12V then its power to the LED is only 12V x 560mA= 6.72W, not 10W. The LED will not have full brightness.

If you add a battery then you must adds a battery charger circuit and a circuit to detect low light levels, then switch between solar or battery..
