Good Day,
1st time here and also a noob. I recently got a Sanyo PLC-XP30 and was told that I just needed a bulb. So I got a bulb but the problem still persist.
The Problem
2 seconds after I turn on the projector, the system and light comes on and whole system shuts off and the LAMP Indicator light turns on red solid. I looked at the manual and this indicator implies it is in Stand by mode.
Solutions I have tried after reading the service manual
1. Tested the fuse. Seems ok - Used a new one just to make sure.
2. Pressed the reset switch - Does the same thing. Turns on then shuts down.
3. Pressed the Thermal Reset Switch. - (Not familiar with these. Not sure if its broken. I am thinking of replacing this)
4. Dismantled the whole unit and cleaned it up. (very dusty)
Question(s)
1. What could cause the unit to shutdown?
2. What else should I check?
Thank you very much.
