Inductive Proximity Sensors

While trying to figure out how to go about hooking up Proximity Sensors to my CNC Router. I have run into a problem with getting them to work properly. The intent is to use them as Home Switches. I am using a 24V Wall Wart to power them as they are rated for 6 -36V. I have the Brown Wire of the 3 wire sensors connected to a bridge terminal to the 24V+. The Blue wire is connected to another bridge terminal for the 24V- and from there back to the 48V- of the main power supply. The load sensing wire has an In400R Diode with the Cathode side on the going to my Geckodrive G540 and has a 2- 10k resistors in series before connecting to the Input connection of my G540 which is rate for a maximum of 12V.

When I power up the sensor it works as advertised and senses any objects within 10mm. However, when I initialize the the G540 Control Box, the sensor doesn't work. It is supposed to be wired Normally Closed though at this point it wouldn't matter if it operated in a Normally Open manner.

What am I missing here?

Description says otherwise.
You might need to use opposite logic sensor.(n/o)
