Hole burned in PCB of graphics card

Hey, I have a broken graphics card and im wondering if anyone knows whether I can repair it. My friend gave me their broken graphics card, telling me that it had blown while they were using it and that it no longer worked. I opened it up to find that a component had burned a hole through the PCB of the card. The graphics card is a GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 980 Ti GAMING-6GD and i've researched and found that the parts that caused the hole are resistors that are marked R172 and R174. I have attached some pictures of the card and im want to know whether I can repair it or if I should stop wasting my time on it. image5.jpeg image1.jpeg

This would usually ba a multilayer card with traces not only on top and bottom but also on the inside. I know of no means to repair such a card with affordable effort, sorry.
