I would like to determine the voltage on a 3.5mm 4 pin headset jack. I have found several places where the pin out and ohms are provided but I have yet to find the output. Further since this is an audio jack wouldn't it vary by volume selected? What I am thinking is that I simple buy a 4 pin audio jack, cut and strip each lead out, set device to max volume and measure the output....? Or am I missing something and that won't work??
