Confused

Good day....i just want to ask if there is anyone here does have an idea what is a ebz diode...i believed that it is the culprit in malfunctioning of a tablet that was brought to me...its a diode like component but the only marking was letter EBZ so i assumed it was a diode but when i google it...i got negative result..thanks

if your device only has 2 legs then it cannot be a regulator

Harald must have missed your diode comments

is this device you have a SMD device ?, what sort of body ? plastic ?, ceramic?, glass ?

a pic of it would have helped us help you
is it on a circuit board ? are there any markings on the board ?

OK so they look like SMD diodes

so why do you think there is something wrong with them ?

Yup thats what think...the one on right is ok ..but the other one fails the diode test...the problem is i dont know the value so i cant replace it....do you have any idea..please

just be aware that doing a diode test in circuit could be giving false info because of the effects of
other components connected to it

only way for sure is to carefully remove the diode from the board and retest
it will either test good or bad, but at least you will be sure of the result

I have not been able to find any reference for that diode type
if you had a schematic for the circuit, that would make it much easier to decide the diodes purpose
