Bc 547 vs 2n2222

Hello, i was working on a project that involoved a bc 547 transistor (a project i found on youtube), but because i didn't have a bc 547 transistor i went with a 2n2222, although i followed that schematics pricesly the project didn't work. After i looked up the bc 547 and 2n2222 datasheets i found out that the bc 547 is arranged as collecter-base-emitter but the 2n2222 is arranged as emitter-base-collector, and because there arent any near stores that sells bc 547 and i need to finish project quickly i want to find a solution to this problem quickly. Thanks

Bend the leads to fit the correct connection - that's what everyone else has to do.....

It seems in this case all you need to do to turn c-b-e into e-b-c is turn the thing round.

Might be something subtle about it.
Many transistors will work upside down, with reduced specs, sometimes you never find out.

The specs of both are quite different, but if your application doesn't require something unique to either you'll probably get away with it after you've got the pins right.
