BC 547 NPN Transitor Vb, Vee & Beta value?

Gents,

Sorry I have to break my previous query soft start circuit' into two otherwise it would look length. It is very simple question but I am just a hobbyist trying to understand slowly.

I am trying to replace p-mosfet with BC 547 NPN transistor.

Can anyone advise on how can I calculate capacitor and resistor value to be used....assuming it is 12 v battery?

I tried to use this transitor calculator

But am not sure for what values should I put in for Vb, Vee & Beta

Any advise greatly appreciated.

Um, you cannot replace a P channel MOSFET with an NPN transistor, you would need a PNP transistor, unless you are making changes to the surrounding circuitry.

How about showing us a schematic of using the MOSFET.
