AVR TWI assembler example code

Hi,

Have posted this question in other groups but no good replies yet.

I am trying to set up TWI using ATMEGA8 but can not get it to work using the
example on page 174.

For one it does not seem to set the clock speed.

Any way if anyone can show me an example piece of assembler code the would
great.
