For me the pivotal moment was when they published their new amp design
mounted in a particularly cheap & shitty beige mini-tower computer case,
complete with big knobs to make it look supremely naff.
Which was plainly a stupid attempt at recycling. However the circuit design
was OK, and I built one into a standard rack case long before they realised
their error and redesigned it with a normal case. I'll bet I wasn't the only
one either.
Far less so IMO, and at least the cigarette packet warnings don't affect the
cigarettes themselves, whereas watermarks always affect the actual program.
I think the prime aim is simply to irritate viewers as much as possible, and
the channels are engaged in a battle to see who can do it best.

For irritation it is hard to match the recent format for such shows as
Border Security. About 2 minutes of good stuff, then lots of adverts, then a
recap of at least one minute of the previous two minutes. Arrgh!
