hello everyone, let me just say im a "noobe"
ive been brousing (search button) for awhile now and ive almost found what im looking for, but not quite..
I wish to replace my marker lights on my vehicle. max voltage seen is 14v charging, 12v charged.
the leds i have are out of saftey light. it was powered by 2 aa batteries (1.5v ea)
the batteries were in series, so they saw 3v??
the lights themselves were paralled, not in series. (2 lights)
my question is this. giving i know what voltage they saw, i can calculate how many volts each requires.... can i simply add enough lights to require 12v? 13v to be safe??
or are resistors ABSOULTELY needed? if any one has a simple schematic it would help alot.
also, i dont know how to identify resistors, ive long sence forgot what collor ribbon means what.
i live in california /w/ access to local micro electronic stores....NO ORDERING! HAHA
thanks for all your help!!
