Repurposing LED torchiere LED light - 12V or 24V

I have a LED torchiere light that comes with a 24VDC power supply.
I wanted to get rid of the stand and just use the disc on top. In the process I had to loose the built in dimmer. When I reconnected the disc to the power supply the LED's blinked (and very bright). So, I wonder whether the dimmer essentially converted 24V to 12V. are such discs typically 12VDC?

There isn’t really a typical voltage for these.
It depends on how many LEDs and what wiring configuration.
Can you show a picture of the ‘dimmer’ circuit?. I’m pretty sure it’s not a dimmer. More like PWM or a constant current circuit.
What is the current rating on the 24V adapter?

It'll be a current limiting driver not a dimmer.
You've more than likely blown the whole shebang now.

I don't have the original "dimmer" anymore. The power supply is 24VDC 1A

I was planning to replace the "dimmer" with something like this:

But this would not work with the 12V 24V mismatch.

From your first photo, it could possibly be 13 LEDs in series. If each LEDs Forward voltage is 1.8V, that would be 23.4V. Keeping the Amperage under 1A, 39 LEDs @ 25mA = 975mA.
But I doubt this is correct because of the missing driver circuit and resistor on the PCB which we know nothing about.

interesting. So, what would be the drier/dimmer requirements?

I found this note in the specs for the dimmer with remote I posted (from Amazon)
Note 5:The SP-N12 LED DIMMER is a constant voltage controller and can only be connected to a constant voltage lamp. It is not suitable for constant current lamps. The controller indicator light appears red, indicating a short circuit. The controller indicator light appears yellow, indicating overload.So Please check clear with your lighting before you purchase our LED Dimmer. Could you post a close-up of one led, with the size of the led?
There are several SMD led sizes:

Then it is very likely not suitable to drive your LED lamp as LEDS need controlled (constant) current, not voltage.
