“Simple” volt/amp question

It sounds like I could buy the aforementioned power supply and apply a 10ohm/10w resistor on the hot wire and hook up both wires to the doorbell cam. I understand that they are different products and require different voltages/wattages/etc.

Again, as has been said before ... stop using the term HOT for low voltage AC
HOT and NEUTRAL refer to mains voltage 115VAC / 230VAC / 240 AC depending on your country

for this project you shouldn't be dealing with mains voltages, specially with your self admitted lack of knowledge/experience
