Yamaha rxv1070 receiver struck by lightning

Good morning all I have a 20 year old Yamaha rxv1070 receiver that was poss struck by lightning. It was plugged into a panamax surge protector but it was turned off during lightning. Also ruined during lightning is a 55 in tv a DVD player and my internet WiFi which were all plugged into panamax surge.
The issue with the Yamaha receiver is the display had all 000000 across the front and everything lit up but would not respond to the buttons on front except for input selector and would amplify the aux input signal to about 10 percent of volume. I really do like this receiver and any help would be great appreciated1529167240009449391146.jpg

I have removed top cover and all fuses check out and all components appear to be ok (nothing burned or visable damage)

Hi Matty
welcome to EP

OK first up, this could turn into a long and complex repair without a guaranteed good outcome

First thing would be to check all out all the separate voltage rails that the PSU generates and see if they are correct

But before that you need to search for a schematic and or service manual … it will be essential for doing a repair

Ok I will continue searching for a schematic. I know it seems like a low chance for a good outcome but I have had this for over 20 years without a single problem. It has been a great receiver

I found a bloke on Ebay, somewhere in the Netherland I think.
He had listings of 1000's of devices and one could purchase just 1 for around $5.
Perhaps check there, away at the moment and do not have access to his Ebay detail.

Sir Mattydaddy . . . .
I certainly don't like the way that display is showing . . . . at all.
After having the unit unplugged from the AC line for 30 min or so for initiating a full system reset, since that unit is using a separate 24 series earom for its program memory, and should initiate a new u/p reboot.

Then, plug in and see if the display acts any differently.

PLUS you have already mentioned at least some control functions are still reacting to command.
NEXT . . . . lets try going thru the back door . . . .in the respect of using the units IR remote and the serial data interfacing stream that it will be putting out, and then test and see what functions can be successfully accomplished by its use, instead of the units front panel controls.

It has been unplugged for an extended period an hour or more same display. Will try the remote and see if I have any functions and will get back . Again thank you all for your assistance

Just an update to the 1070 after responses and checks I have decided to can my receiver . Thank you for those who responded. On a new note I have a new receiver with problems that I can use help on. It's the b&k receiver 507 with blown rear surrounds
