Xenta 5.1ch Home theatre system cutting out & buzzing

I've recently been given an Xenta 5.1ch home theatre system by my Dad. I've been trying to use it with an AUX cable. It comes on fine but then after a couple of seconds the screen dims slightly and there's is a strange loud buzzing noise and non of the buttons work so I can't even turn it off, I have to unplug it from the mains.

There's been days when it works fine for a while and others I only have to plug it in and straightaway without me even pressing the On button it is doing the same thing. I've used it at my dads house before and it's worked fine. I've tried changing the fuse and I've also tried using my phone in flight mode and with my wifi turned off to see if signals are interfering but it still does the same thing!
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would really love to use it as it's such a good bit of kit. When it works.

hi Joe
welcome to EP

sorry for the late response.
Not knowing your electronics background, I don't know how indepth I can get with my response

That said, it sounds like there may be one or more electrolytic capacitors in the power supply section that have gone faulty
The symptoms you describe , make that highly likely.
Are you able to do some sharp and well lit pics of the power supply section ... where the mains cable comes in and connects to the circuit board
there's likely to be a transformer in that area
