I installed an electromagnetic lock on a door but it has residual magnetism when powered off. To solve the problem I was told to instal a relay. The relay has 8 terminals NO, NC, C POS and NO, NC, C, NEG. How do I wire these between the transformer and the lock?
If the lock is stuck when it is not powered, then not powering it with a relay will not help.
Check that the solenoid does not have some residual voltage across it.
