Wire, 0.22 mm² CSA , 1000 V 1.4 A assorted colours...

Hello everyone, i'm new to the site so please be gentle...

I am currently working on an old design for a fire-wire monitoring system used in the turbine industry.

My enquiry is does anyone know where I can purchase 0.22mm CSA 1000V 1.4A cable in assorted colours in the UK at a reasonable price?

At the moment I am stuck with the option of RS or Maplins who only sell 100m reels, as I need every colour under the sun and only a few meters of each it's not really cost effect for this project.

Hello,
My only suggestion would be a good hardware or electrical shop that sells by the metre.
If it's a chain store, I doubt you would get discount. But independent stores will definitely give a discount.

Thanks for the feedback, just hard to find an independent electronics store these days.

Just a note to anyone in a similar situation, I have managed to save a lot of money by buying a meter of unscreened multicore cable 7-2-36A with every color plus more.

Think you will find the "1000v" part of your initial requirement is what makes the cable both expensive and difficult to find at local electronics stores.
