Win-Pak 2.0 Can't Modify or Create new entries in database

I have Northern Computers,Win-Pak 2.0 software. The system that the
software on crashed and when I reinstall the software on the new system
and register it, I can not create anything in the dtatbase. Everytime
I set up a component in it none of the changes are saved.

I tried to put a copy of the orginal database with all my information
on the new system but the system just hangs.

I've tried calling Tech Support and they refuse to help me since I am
not a dealer. Well I can't go through my dealer cause they went out of
business.

All I need to know is how to set the database so that it has write
access on it through the front end. Right now it is set to read only
access to the frontend.

First on what operating system did you install it?
was it that same OS it was installed before?

if you are running win 2k or xp do you have administrator privilege on the
computer?

answer those simple question first then we will see..

I have Northern Computers, Win-Pak 2.0 software...

Someone else complained bitterly about that product recently here. I don't
do Northern but I do a lot of business with Honeywell, which is the parent
company. I may be able to get you some help if you'd like to call me.
