Where to find multi Color LED screw in lamp - that changes colors smoothly

C

Hi,

I'm looking for a vendor or manufacturer of a lamp
that recently saw. It was similar to a G-35 that
slowly, and smoothly changed colors. I was told it
was an LED lamp, about 1 watt.

Any ideas on where this lamp can be gotten?

Thanks in advance.

I know of low power LEDs that do this, not 1W ones.
http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/ sold me one.

Thanks, for the reply. After studying
the web page, I don't see any Globe style
lamp on their site. This one was 2 1/4"
in diamater, and had what looked like the
word "VIVA" as a brand name.

I've done some google searches and haven't
found it.

Thanks again for your response.

No, one LED only, 5mm diameter.

Colorkinetics sell an MR-16 three colour changing LED source. This unit
can be internally programmed to a full range of colour changing etc. and
will directly replace a standard MR-16 lamp.
Go to www.colorkinetics.com and they have a search function which allows
you to find a reseller. The unit is called "i color MR" and there is
full information on their website.
If you draw a blank I can sell you them ex New Zealand.

Good luck,

Yes! That's the lamp. Who makes it, and where
can I get one? How did you happen to get one?

ps: I just spotted this message...

TIA.

Dick,

Thanks for all the info, I'm surprised that it
takes that many (14) leds to do the job. Is there
any online data or website about the lamp?

Who makes it?

I don't understand your coyness about the lamp, I can
only surmise that you are somehow involved in the planned
revenue stream. But I can tell you this, that more that
$20. is a guarantee of product failure.

It's a very cute product for about 4-5 minutes, but then
what ya gonna do with it? It doesn't put out any real light,
so it's a decorative, with a very hefty price tag. I checked
the local 'head shops' who carry an incandescent version, for
about $5. It's not as cool, but a pot smoker won't know the
difference...

So if you get greedy. I'll just wait till the chinese knock
it off.

Can't tell you any more about it at this time. What do you think this type
of lamp should sell for?

Will have photo's posted shortly.

Dick,

Is this the lamp you're talking about?

Anyone recognize that logo on the front
image?

Looks familiar but I can't quite place it. VIM or perhaps VIVM, or
perhaps none of the above.
