What is this part an where can I get it?

So I have an NCR DecisionMate V (the first personal computer) it works perfectly apart from the fact that when I started it for the first time in years it smoked and this electronic bit fried. I am inexperienced with this realm of electronics and I have no clue what the part is. As you can see it is blue and has the numbers: +4.7 and +16v written on it. If anyone knows the name and/or where I can get one, any help will be greatly appreciated!

Seems strange, 4.7uF is a standard value. An aluminium electrolytic may do.
Replace the correct way round.

Digikey perhaps? There are many parts vendors with an internet presence. Radio Shack would be my very last resort.

What is strange is that you had 4.6uF (and you've edited it now)

This is a tantalum capacitor and I would just search for the exact replacement. You may find that the one you get is a slightly different size, shape or colour, but it will be electrically similar enough.

Don't remove the original part until you get the new one. Note which way around the old one went and replace it with the new one the correct way (or it will go BANG! when power is applied).
