way of connecting a tv to a bluetooth or other device?

I'm working on a project for my dad and i need to find a way of connecting a tv, any general type made in the past 5 or so years, the type that wouldnt connect to the internet or bluetooth on it's own. I need to figure out a way or perhaps something i could connect like a bluetooth device that would allow me to recieve the audio for the television via a mobile phone or other device. Anyone have any ideas?

There are lots of off-the-shelf devices that do this - basically a Bluetooth receiver with an audio jack attached.
