Is there any particular reason why you need to get the st340810a ? , if
there isn't then you would be better off getting the ST340014A , it has the
same specifications except it has a faster spin rate of 7200 rpm instead of
5200 rpm for the st340810a and is actually quieter than st340810a

NetPlus in Perth has dozens of the ST340014A in stock for $69 , I have
brought 3 of them in the last few months and they are quite good and totally
silent.

The original poster would be after a working circuit board from the
drive to recover data from an existing drive of the same type. Having
a board from the exact same model works best for this.

the reference of "I don't mind how many errors it has" gives it away,
