Wanted: Wanted old pentium III

Hi to all. My second post looking for the same item. I am looking for a Pentium III desk top pc, what i want it for is testing some modded hardware, this is so i dont damage my other machines, and the pc i am looking for is a test machine. Ok what i was looking for is a Compaq ENS or EN, minimum of a pentium III and a CPU of at least 500mhz or faster, at least 128mb of system Ram, a HDD of 20GB or not less than 10GB, a CD Rom, and floppy drive. OS not necessary. I will pay £100 for a good unit. Dave.

You should be able to pick up something much faster for a lot cheaper than that - unless you specifically need a HP PIII?

Ive had the IBM as a P4 and the HP as a P4 D700 or something like that.
Both about 2.5 GHZ.

Still looking for a Compaq ENS 500 MHz or faster, come on some one must have one of these old machines knocking around, ram and hdd size is not a problem, so long as it runs and its clean, ie not battered up.

Man if I was closer to you I would load u up .. all u want lol .. Have you tried thrift stores.. etc .. not sure what they call em in the UK .. some sort of craigslist classifieds.
Maybe us American chaps just have too much excess lol

Interesting, no over here in the UK we have charity shops indoor markets junk shops etc, still looking £ 100 should well cover the spec i am looking for, i am on a P4 3.2 GHZ CPU HT now 3 GB Ram 160 HDD cost me £ 60 ok second user old office machine, but my search for the elusive Compaq ENS goes on, times are hard in the UK well and other countrys, thought some one would have ripped my hand off for that price.

Cant be anyone on the site with one knocking around, well not near me anyway.

Hello Steve.
Not been about much lately, yes we do have a free cycle in my area, but things like old PC's are very few and far between, if they go on the site there gone as soon as there posted, i will have to just keep looking.
