Hello Folks,
Does anyone know where I can purchase 7448's or 74LS48 at a reasonable
cost? I can use about 10 of them.
Thanks,

TI has obsoleted the 7448/74LS48. If you really need a pin-compatible
part your application may be able to use a 74C48 (Fairchild) and these
are listed as orderable by Digikey but at a truly obscene price.
If you need a current-sourcing driver, then the CMOS 4511 and 4543 are
still available and will do the same job (albeit with a different pinout
and leading-zero blanking doesn't work the same.)
If you're driving real numitrons then you ought to be able to use current-
sinking drivers like 7447/74LS47/74247/74LS247 which are still available
(Digikey etc) which will work fine if you hook the common numitron terminal
to Vcc instead of ground. The 74LS47 has a different pattern for 9 and 6
than the 74LS247.
